For the second year in a row, The California PBiS Coalition has awarded Hunt with the Silver PBiS Implementation Award. We have shown excellence in the measurement of fidelity as well as effort implementing the core features of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support!

What is Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBiS)?

PBiS is the behavior system that we are using at Hunt Elementary. It is built on the idea that we can effectively teach appropriate behaviors to all students using positive language and interventions.

What behaviors are we teaching your students?

The core expectations of PBiS are: Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Safe. Each area of our school has a set of rules that falls under those expectations. There are also 16 Survival Skills that are taught to increase the student's knowledge of how to handle situations that they will find themselves in the real world.

What incentives are being used at Hunt?

When students are "caught" following the expectations, they are given blue Husky notes. Every Monday, students are able to trade in the blue notes for prizes and supplies.

Can I use this system at home?

Absolutely! The link below will take you to the PBiS website to help you along the way!
